Last week we have to opportunity to travel down to California and while we were there we were able to connect with a family who adopted Miah's friend from the orphanage last June. This was the child that the nannies told Drew Miah(Fu Ni) was close to. These girls share so much.
They were both found in the same city (Kris, I looked at Miah's paperwork again and she was found in Jingjiang)
They are five months apart and spent the first two years of their lives together at the orphanage.
I think it is a huge blessing that she will have a friend who has the same "story" as she does. I hope that these two girls grow up to be close friends and have a very special relationship that only they can understand. Who knows...maybe one day they will want to travel to China together to see where they came from.
How wonderful that they were able to see each other--could you tell that they remembered each other? How were they when they saw each other for the first time? I think it's so great that you were able to meet up with the other family and plan on keeping up a relationship with them. I hope we can do something similar for Lydia.
ReplyDeleteI'm so tickled that you were able to give Miah this gift. What an honouring thing. Love the smiles. :)
ReplyDeleteThat is wonderful that you know who adopted Miah's friend and can now keep in contact. Looks like an amazing trip!

OK...that "hug" melts my heart and puts a lump in my throat! Wow! This is so special Kim. For Miah to know that all is not lost that she left behind in China--that there is one little girl that is still a part of her beautiful new life--that is truly miraculous. I pray Izabella can also have this same relationship with a little boy we know had the same nanny in her orphanage. I am in close touch with the family and hope to someday meet. I am sad they moved from the midwest to Azrizona. But you never know. :) Thanks for sharing this blessing. Sweet...too sweet for words.
ReplyDeleteSimply wonderful...what a great treasure for both girls.
